The Blueye team is a group of creative minded problem solvers who handcraft experiential social programs for brands, that can be directly tied back to success and ROI. As pioneers of the next wave of social, we are passionate individuals who believe in process and collaboration from start to finish.
It's been my baby since 2004 and of course the fact that I have blue eyes
When I am not hangin' with Miss Abby at Wholefoods, working I am usually volunteering my time to help transport rescue dogs from high kill shelters to either their rescue shelter or their forever home
Pac Man and Mappy
Miss CoCo Channel and Miss Birkin, the bag not the shoe
I'm an innate problem solver - I love brainstorming about ideas, concepting, and finding new approaches to old problems. I refuse to copy something that another company has already done...it's all about leveraging concepts that work to create a unique offering that solves a marketing inefficiency. Blueye has been very luck to work with clients who are passionate and enthusiastic about their company and products/offerings - it's contagious and makes my job a whole lot easier!
Same as Shannon - Vodka martini, Chicago River Dirty.
As much as I'm a self-proclaimed tech geek, I'm still very old school. No iPad for this gal...I prefer quill & scroll and the smell of an trusty paperback. Therefore, I must answer this question with "Scrabble".
Desks? Where we're going we don't need desks
"freedom comes with self-knowledge, when the mind goes above and beyond the hindrances it has created for itself through craving its own security" -j. krishnamurti
I'd pay off school loans, then I'd buy an abandoned warehouse and turn it into a practice space for musicians and start an after school program in said warehouse for kids to jam.
I, well my Mom and Dad, have an awesome bulldog named Cozmo. I think she was named after the male actor Michael Richards from Seinfeld, but she's such a diva that I like to think her name reflects Cosmopolitan Magazine.
Whiskey and Ginger Ale
Great people surround me. It's contagious.
Dawn of The Dead (1978) is my favorite movie. The Beach Boys are my favorite band.
The food, duh.
Group bike rides with friends.
I love application development because of the thrill of bringing something to life that only moments ago did not exist. For the most part, with only a computer and any text editor at your disposal, tools can be created that make life simpler, more productive, and more exciting, while connecting you to information and people, anywhere, at anytime.
The Google search engine. It is arguably the most valuable application in the world, as no other algorithm seeks out and retrieves the information you need as accurately or efficiently. And yet it may be the simplest of all applications to use! I wish I had the ability to analyze and catalog the vast amounts of data across the internet it is able to process on a daily basis.
Without a doubt, Techmo Super Bowl. At $70, I still remember it being the most ridiculously overpriced game of that time. But after 20+ full seasons played, I can definitely say I got my money's worth. To this day, no other video game athlete can match the kick returning prowess of Deion Sanders and his ability to cover three receivers at once.
Three monitors, Shannon, and usually a great view of my car that has more than once saved me from a Chicago street cleaning ticket.
Everybody's pretty phenomenal and it's very much a team atmosphere. Plus it's fun too.
Die Hard. Hot Water Music.
Ryan Gosling? Because he is so hot? But ask me again in a month. I can be fickle.
Wild Turkey straight. Carlsberg Export.
Right now there's just a wall in front of me, but it's covered with art.
Ms. Pac-man or Joust.
Goose Island Bourbon County Stout.
Manage social media, amongst a variety of other things.
Pizza Island. Not so much an island of pizza, just one where it's served exclusively. No construction would be allowed outside of huts for obvious reasons.
One cat. Scooty Puff Sr. "The Doombringer".
This is kind of a "chicken and egg" question.
Mutually assured destruction of both. Cards. WHOOP!
I would start off by paying off my student loans, donate some money to a humane society and save the rest for later.
I would be StumbleUpon because there are a lot of random topics out there that interest me and I like to share them with my friends.
Sonic the Hedgehog on Sega Genesis
I love story telling. Design allows me to tell a story every day. Each project is a chance to explore and a chance to learn so that someday I may tell a masterpiece.
Pay some bills for me and my family, then take a trip with my friends to Australia to see Perth's symphony orchestra. Oh, and drink some really good beer.
Used to be in a band where I played trumpet and drums at the same time. That's kinda weird.
I'm gonna go with both. I think the best beards also contain good mustaches.
Use it to make 10 million.
doberman named cinamin
tequila & OJ
Most of it is luck... haha seriously my team makes me great. extremely talented and diverse bunch, they really make it easy for me
Boondock Saints / The Roots
we get all the seasons (sometimes twice), our sports teams all have cool colors, my family is here
as long as a Chicago team wins I'm good, however I like to wear cubs gear to sox games and vice versa, ruffle some feathers here and there
I really like that it allows you to construct all kinds of useful things without a lot of material requirements. It's great to be able to wrestle with mental puzzles and, at the end of the day, end up with something that can improve lives.
I'd probably be a wiki. I really enjoy archiving things and establishing connections among disparate pieces of knowledge. That's my background in history talking!
Ich kann Deutsch sprechen.
Sox. I've already got a National League team (Go Phils!), and I prefer the food at Cellular Field!
Bourbon - neat.
I love the details. Design details, tech details, and sometimes insignificant details (If there is a such thing!). I make it a point to look at everything from every angle, and look at every detail.
I love solving problems. Small or big. Design lets me solve problems, in a creative way. I use design in my daily life to solve problems, but I especially love the challenges that we face on the web and mobile platforms today.
Camping. Fishing. Grilling. I take advantage of being in the northwest suburbs.
Everyday is memorable in its own way.
This question would be better asked as, "What don't you do at blueye?". In that case, accounting. Dan seems like he has that under control.
The only appropriate response to this question is "What gives you the right?"
I can juggle.
I was instantly drawn to a company that was in the social media space, as I love to work with brands and agencies. Then I met my two favorite people, Shannon and Abby who have incredible passion for what they do and a 'get it done' mentality. It was a dream job scenario when they asked me to join Blueye - because I have the opportunity to, not only work at a creative startup that is always challenging and exciting, but to help shape the sales culture and grow the team!
I would be 'A Choose Your Hobby' app - with a menu of interests to choose from, like...cooking, calligraphy, interior design, photography, etc. There would be How to's, Getting Started Guides, Find Friends Near You, a Links to Local Events. -Why? I love to learn new things and be a "Jane of All Trades", fulfilling the creative outlets. Plus I could market it and sell it...that might be the real reason;)
Don Julio Margarita on the rocks, no salt.
Bucktown - it's eclectic.
I believe attitude is a great contributor to success. My attitude is I want to do well for our customers, for the Blueye Team and for myself.
Finance provides a picture of the hard work and dedication of our team and the loyalty of our customers.
The Blueye team has a unique culture that foster cooperation, excellence and a sincere concern for each other.
Chasing a white ball in the woods, in tall grass and places I don't want to go.
I am a Chicago fan and want all teams to do well. Head to head I am a Cub fan. My father told me "I was born a Cub Fan, a Bear fan and a democrat and the only thing I could change is my political affiliation" which I do.
