Use of Underwater Drones for Education and Research

This time, Andreas Viggen and Martin Ludvigsen (Professor at NTNU) will talk about the use of the Blueye underwater drones in Science and Research. Martin has a long track record of marine research in the polar region around Spitsbergen. With help of autonomy and robotics, Martin has been able to study both microbiology and marine archeology in the coastal areas of Spitsbergen.

They will also talk about how our Software SDK has enabled a group of Ph.D. students at NTNU to control two Blueye drones that are physically mounted together to create a larger ROV. This was done to carry ecotone's hyperspectral camera.

This webinar is recommended for anyone interested in learning more about how underwater drones can be used for Science and Research or otherwise related to underwater inspections from all industries.
