In-Situ software integrated with the Blueye App

With our user-friendly Blueye app, accessing the data from your measurements is easy. The Aqua TROLL software is integrated into Blueye's operative system (Blunux) and the Blueye App. Once the Aqua TROLL is connected to a guest port in the Blueye X3, you'll find a dedicated "Aqua TROLL" page in the app's settings menu. On the first page of the Aqua TROLL menu, you will find general information about the probe and the connected sensors.

Probe setting page.

Each connected sensor has its own page with information and settings. Here, you can read the sensor's serial number, sensor ID, and calibration status. On the same page, you can select the parameters you want to see in the dive view, see live readings of all the parameters, and change units.

Sensor page.

When accessing the dive view, you will be presented with the parameter values that you have chosen and set on the settings page. This feature offers you the flexibility to include a multitude of parameters, allowing you to tailor your experience to your specific needs. Feel free to include as many parameters as you'd like, ensuring that you have a comprehensive overview of the data you are interested in.

In cases where you want to monitor an extensive range of parameters, and you add more than three to your selection, the interface accommodates by enabling you to easily navigate through the information. You can effortlessly swipe horizontally across the parameter boxes, ensuring you can access and review all the relevant details.

Hardware integration

The mechanical integration is carefully designed with the customer experience in mind. The sonde is easy to mount on and off and even compatible together with a DVL and gripper.

All you have to do to mount the Aqua TROLL is to slide it into the slot where the ballast weights normally are located and then secure it by putting it on the battery cover. To add extra stiffness, a bent metal rod slides into the mount that is used when a gripper is mounted. The skid is made out of machined POM to add strength and rigidity.

Located underneath the Aqua TROLL sonde is a mounting space for the DVL or the ballast weights. This space allows you to trim the buoyancy so you can easily change between fresh, brackish, and salt water. These are also mounted by sliding them into the mount and then locked in place with a snap connection.

Use the Aqua TROLL with DVL or UGPS and gripper

If you want to take your exploration to the next level, it is possible to use the Aqua TROLL 500 with a DVL or UGPS and gripper, as well as top-mounted external devices. A DVL or UGPS allows you to link the parameter readings to the ROV's position during the dive. By utilizing the exported CSV file, you can visualize parameter values on a map in both 2D and 3D views using the free Graphical Information System software, QGIS.
